Kilburn Good Neighbours has been running for over 19 years and offers a befriending and practical help service for over 60s in Kilburn who may have become isolated or housebound. We have an active and dedicated team numbering over 40 volunteers from all walks of life who enjoy their visits as much as the person they have been matched with. We offer a regular newsletter and a series of events and trips that members can enjoy. The scheme can act as a ‘safety net’ for people who may just need to contact us in times of specific need. Our Scheme Manager can visit members in their homes to offer advice and information and refer people onto other relevant sources of help and support if necessary.
Kilburn Good Neighbours has window cleaning, gardening and D.I.Y. volunteers to help members with small jobs they cannot manage any longer. We can provide regular gardening and window cleaning appointments for those who would like them, enabling people to stay independent and safe in their own homes for longer. Our dedicated DIY volunteer is on hand to help members with jobs such as fixing shelves, putting up curtain rails and fixing cupboard doors and a whole lot more!
